Q             How long will it take for my transformer to arrive?

A             We hold many standard transformers in stock, so if it is standard we can despatch it the same day. If we have to make it, we manufacture in days not weeks. Most made to order transformers are despatched within 2 working days.

 

Q             What if I do not see the voltage I need?

A             there is a drop down list for all of our transformers. You can therefore select the primary and secondary voltage from there. If your voltage is not listed then select the “SPECIFY VOLTAGE” from the drop down list and then fill in the special requirements box at the checkout.  If this still does not help, then just call our sales desk and we will be only too happy to help.

 

Q             Is there any extra charge for non-standard voltages?

A             Not usually. Most variants are the same price, but we do have to charge a little more if you select a very low voltage which needs special terminals. If you think your requirement is too special for the website, then just call and we can discuss it further but remember, we always give instant quotations where possible

 

Q             Can I add sockets to my transformer?

A             Yes, you can add anything to your transformer that is not in our range. The accessories page lists some of what we can offer. Simply select the product and we will fit it for you free of charge. You may need to add a comment in the special requirements box when you are in the checkout but if it is too complicated put the note in the box asking us to call you to discuss.

 

Q             How do I know what transformer I need?

A             We offer full technical assistance. Our help desk is available Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm. Never be afraid to ask. It’s what we’re here for!

 

Q             Do you offer IP65 transformers?

A             Yes. We offer many variants of IP ratings. The transformers listed in this site are meant for locations where there is sufficient air for cooling. If you need IP ratings where there is no air flow then you would need to de-rate the transformer by 35%, but this is an example and larger transformers may differ, so please call and we can discuss it, offering you a solution every time.

 

Q             How many amps will the primary draw?

This depends on the transformers rating and the voltage. See our calculator which should offer some assistance. If it does not help then please call and we will be happy to help.

 

Q             Are you transformers efficient?

A             In today’s world, efficiency is king. We offer as standard a very high efficiency, between 90% and 99.5%. We can design to your needs, so if you have special requirement, then please just ask.

 

Q             How long is the warranty?

A             All of our transformers have a minimum of 12 months warranty. See our warranty policy on the documents page for further details.

 

Q             Are you able to help me specify my transformer?

A             Of course. This is what we are here for. Call our help desk and we will offer you all the help you need.

 

Q             Are your transformers manufactured to industry standards?

A             Yes, we manufacture to the general requirements of BS EN61558.

 

Q             Do you have ISO 9001 or any other quality assurance?

A             We are Achilles accredited, which is a quality assurance (Certificate No. 095125). We are registered with Link-UK and RISQS qualified.

 

Q             Are there discounts for large orders?

A             Yes, we can offer discounts for Large orders and regular orders.

 

 

Q             Can I talk to a person?

A             Yes, we are always happy to speak and welcome your call.

 

Q             Are my personal details secure?

A             Yes, perfectly secure. We do not pass on your personal details to anyone, ever. If you pay by card, you will automatically be directed to Worldpay who will securely take payment; we never have your card details. If you pay by PayPal, again you will be automatically re-directed to their site. If you call and give us your card details over the phone. These details are destroyed as soon as payment is processed, and if for some reason payment could not be processed, your card details are destroyed at the end of the day.
